It is that time of the year and January 1st is right around the corner! What comes with that date?  Yes, that’s
right, New Years Resolutions!! For some of us it may be to get back on track with working out, losing some
weight or just FEELING BETTER!
NDBC boot camps start up again on January 4th and just a reminder, to get signed up today and get a head
start on the New Years resolutions. The classes for January are as follows:
M,W,F    6:00am, 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM
M,T,TH   6:00PM

Happy Early Holidays from NDBC!

NDBC would like to help make losing weight & FEELING GOOD a little easier for EVERYONE this holiday season!

For the months of November & December NDBC will be adding another convenient class time & tweeking boot camp programs just little in order to help with the fun, crazy holiday schedules that are coming up for us all!  That means ZERO missed workouts  because of T-Day or X-Mas!

NDBC HOLIDAY BOOT CAMP SCHEDULE:

November schedule: Monday Nov. 2nd – Thurs. Nov. 19th

December schedule: Monday Nov. 30th – Thurs. Dec. 17th

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • 6a.m. – 7a.m. 7a.m. – 8a.m. 9a.m. – 10a.m. (new added class!) 6p.m. – 7p.m.
  • 12 classes, 4 days a week, 3 weeks $150!

Changing, to Keep it REAL

I am doing something a little different as I embark on my fitness journey beginning with The North Dallas Boot Camp. This time, instead of obsessing about the calories I consume, fat free this & that, fad diets or the weight I want to lose, I am trying  a new method. I am focusing on Mario’s concept to keep it REAL.

That is focusing on REAL Eating, REAL Movement, REAL Thinking…. REAL Living. With that lesson in mind, while I do want to lose weight, weight loss isn’t going to be my main focus as I begin making positive lifestyle changes. Instead of counting calories going in and out of my body, I’m focusing on being active and simply making better choices when it comes to the food I consume. I also want to have fun, be stronger, achieve better balance, and handle stress better.  I figure if I focus on these, then the weight loss will come.

I am now in my third week of boot camp and I feel fantastic. I already notice that I have more energy, I am sleeping better, and I am feeling as though I stand a little taller. Keeping it REAL is already proving to have its benefits….and just think, my journey has just begun.  The REALity is…. changing to be better is still LIVING your life while ADDING more quality to your body, mind & spirit.

I am excited to introduce  an awesome new member to NDBC! Jennifer Browning has been working as a freelance photographer in Dallas for four years. Her work has taken her to Cuba, Haiti, Europe and across the United States photographing people like Jennifer Tilley, Shannon Elizabeth & even former President Bill Clinton & his wife Hillary.Jennifer Browning

While Jennifer hasn’t put down her camera, most of her work these days is doing grassroots online social networking & marketing for non-profit organizations. Her clients include Project Medishare for Haiti, Inc, The Global Institute at the University of Miami, & locally, Alley’s House.

Jennifer will be sharing her personal NDBC experience with all of you!  Posting anything from food to fun, Jennifer will be giving real life updates on how she is changing her life to feel better & become healthier.  This is a real person who will share all of her REAL eating, REAL movements & REAL thinking to give a real life view of change.

Recess

Recess-hop-scotch-Dallas

When is the last time you played catch, hop-scotch, tag or Simon Says? My good friends at The Movement Dallas are pretty excited about the new group class called Recess! If you haven’t heard me talk about it, check it out here now.  Recess was featured on the news this week & is taking off!

The North Dallas Boot Camp wants to hep Recess be successful so please come out & join us for a Recess class!  Your first class is FREE! Let’s play!

The North Dallas Boot Camp will also begin the September session this coming Tuesday the 8th! NOT THE  7TH (website error)

NDBC would like to invite anyone to come & try the first 3 days for FREE! All you have to do is register here, skip the payment page & show up on the desired class time on the 8th! I recently posted a few links under “Resources & Favorites” down at the bottom right side of this blog.  I would like to encourage EVERYONE who follows this blog to check out all of the links.

I think one of the best ways to learning & adapting is to practice learning from different sources. Get a feel of what others are saying about the foods that you eat & the lifestyles that we all live. I respect & love what these people have to say & they are helping me educate on how we can all become better! Remember, REAL Eating, REAL Movement, REAL Thinking & REAL Living is one of the best ways to not only LOOK & FEEL your best, but to also improve the health of our life source, MOTHER NATURE!
